A holiday apartment which combines home comforts with the exhilarating energy of the sea, Casa Tramonto is found in the picturesque seaside village of Aspra. It stands just metres from the seafront, overlooking the row of brightly coloured fishing boats which are still traditionally pulled up onto the beach to rest when the day’s work is done. For visitors, this a haven of peace and relaxation in an unmistakably Sicilian context..
On two levels, Casa Tramonto is spacious and carefully designed, with separate spaces in which to enjoy your days and relax at night. The entrance is into an ample hallway, where a stylish staircase leads up to the first floor. Here you will find a large living room, where a balcony gives an unforgettable sea view. There is also a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a separate family bathroom.
Upstairs again, on the second floor, is a beautiful kitchen diner that opens straight on to the sea-view terrace. The real crown jewel of the apartment, this spacious sun trap is ideal for al fresco meals. Just let yourself imagine waking each morning to the sounds of the sea wafting gently in through your open window, before heading up to enjoy a delicious continental breakfast on the terrace as the sun rises in the clear blue sky.
The house is fully equipped with air conditioning, while the bathrooms are warmed by internal heating. The furnishings are elegant and chosen with a designer’s eye, creating a cosy but memorable backdrop to your holiday.
A relaxing romantic retreat with a stunning natural backdrop, Casa Tramonto is a perfect holiday home by the sea. Leave the world behind and drift off to sunny paradise with the true dolce vita Sicilian experience.
Aspra – A beautiful seafront community
The array of colourful fishing boats moored in the harbour of Aspra cast long shadows on the beach. Little by little, the sun slides down behind the mountains, painting the sky in spectacular colours.
In the distance the lights of Palermo twinkle like an echo of the stars above. Soon the moon itself is visible twice, reflected in the warm, calm waters that lap the Gulf of Palermo.
A light wind carries the unmistakable scent of the salt water along the Aspra promenade. The coloured lights of the bars, ice-cream parlours and pizzerias tempt you to surrender your whole evening to their delicious menus.
You feel like you might be dreaming, but this is just a typical summer evening by the sea in beautiful Aspra.
By day, the local fishermen sell their fresh catch at the small local fish market, just metres from where their brightly painted boats are moored on the beach by the lungomare, or promenade. Within another couple of hundred metres, two other little beaches offer their own little slices of heaven.
Despite this perfect seaside idyll, Aspra is also a practical destination. With the railway station at Bagheria just two kilometres away, you can find yourself in central Palermo in twenty minutes or even less. Almost all trains travelling this line stop at Bagheria, giving you the freedom to come and go without your every move needing to be planned.
For the peace and charm of a fishing village and the chance to explore Italy’s most exciting city, Aspra offers the perfect destination.
